AMJC Assembly #383 FN Report 2/19/11

On 02/02/11, at the request of the Principal,Mr. Andrew Currier, the Faithful Admiral, John Landicho and myself attended the school assembly at St. Joseph's Regional Catholic School to make a presentation on patriotism. The FA introduced me and I spoke on patriotism. The presentation went well and afterwards Mr.
Currier did a review of my presentation and the children understood all my points on patriotism.
AMJC assembly sponsored an oratorical contest on 02/13/2011 at St. Joseph's School with the theme of Catholic Patriots. We had eleven speakers, ten from St. Joseph's and one from Holy Redeemer Catholic School. All the speeches were very good and results were as follows:
Grade Seventh Grade Eighth Grade
First Place Luke Hernandez Tiffany Akoakwa
Second Place Julia Pedersoli Andrew Rater
Third Place Mesode Ekaney Laura Irwin

Julia Pedersoli was from Holy Redeemer, all others from St. Joseph's. After the contest Mr. Currier said " I am very proud of how the students performed! What a great skill to cultivate, and we have the Knights to thank." I also need to thank our Faithful Pilot for chairing the event.
The Color Corps have participated in 36 activities and are looking forward to participating at the ordination of Bishop Neal Buckon of the Military Diocese and the Exemplification for priests.
For the Exemplification of the Fourth Degree we have paid for our hospitality room, our assembly ad, and one commercial ad.Two of our associated councils also have ads. We have two priests coming to make the degree on 02/26/11 and twelve other candidates for March 12, 2011 and possible six more.
We continue to plan an activity to celebrate AMJC Assembly 383's fiftieth anniversary.
